Rita’s Fashion was founded in October 2015 by the esteemed first lady Tafuamaseafa Olita Nomani Faualo. Beginning with just a few pieces of fabric crafted into puletasi’s, she embarked on her journey by selling her creations at local markets in Samoa. Despite facing numerous challenges along the way, Olita’s unwavering faith in the growth of her vision empowered her to persevere and surpass expectations. What started as a humble stall at the Fugalei Markets has blossomed into a thriving enterprise, with three stores across Samoa and Australia. In 2018, Rita’s Fashion proudly ventured into international markets.
Named after her youngest daughter, Rita Rehman, who now oversees the Sydney store in Australia, Rita’s Fashion remains a testament to familial dedication and divine guidance. Meanwhile, Olita’s third daughter, Gloria Tiatia, adeptly manages the Samoa branch.
Rooted in a deep faith in God and a profound commitment to family values, Rita’s Fashion endeavors to showcase the hidden gems of the Pacific within its establishments. Every garment is meticulously hand-painted in Samoa, ensuring that each piece is not only exquisite but also a unique expression of island culture. On February 19, 2023, our beloved matriarch, Tafuamaseafa Olita Nomani, peacefully passed away, leaving behind a legacy of passion and perseverance. In her honor, we remain steadfast in our commitment to nurturing the business she so tirelessly built and continue to support our Pacific community.
